C.M.A. INTERMEDIATE COURSE DETAILS
The CMA Intermediate Exam is the 2nd level of exam of students pursuing the Cost & Management Accountancy Course (CMA).
With this exam, often abridged as CMA Inter, the students can appear for the CMA Inter Exam after clearing the CMA Foundation Exam (which is the entrance exam for CMA Students). In some scenarios, there is a direct entry to the CMA Intermediate.
Eligibility criteria for CMA Intermediate
· A candidate should have passed Senior Secondary School Examination (10+2) and Foundation Course of the Institute of Cost Accountants of India.
· Graduation in any discipline other than Fine Arts.
· Foundation (Entry Level) Part I Examination of CAT of the Institute.
· Foundation (Entry Level) Part I Examination and Competency Level Part II Examination of CAT of the Institute.
· Passed Foundation of ICSI/Intermediate of ICAI by whatever name called along with 10+2
SUBJECTS IN C.M. A.- INTERMEDIATE:
The subjects of Intermediate Course are classified into two groups which a student can study and appear in the examination group-wise or both the groups together. Students aiming for a Rank in CMA Intermediate Exam should give both the groups together. There are total 50 All India Ranks given by the ICMAI on the CMA Intermediate Exam Level.

§ Paper 6 : Laws, Ethics and Governance
§ Paper 7 : Direct Taxation
§ Paper 8 : Cost accounting and financial management
Group II
§ Paper 9 : Operation Management Information System
§ Paper 10 : Cost and Management Accounting
§ Paper 11 : Indirect Taxation
§ Paper 12 : Company Accounts & Audit
QUALIFYING MARKS:
§ A Candidate will be declared to have passed the Foundation Examination if he secures a minimum of 40% marks in each paper and a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate of all the papers, in one sitting.
§ Pass with Distinction : This status is given to those candidates who secure a minimum of 70% marks.
